Went to our 70,000 sq ft Antique Mall today in Cashmere, WA and found this gem. On the bottom it says 1979 and is made by the Aladdin company. It is in spectacular shape! Thought you guys would appreciate it!
Wow! Great find! This is a thing of beauty! I must say, I’m jealous! Wish I had an awesome vintage Muppet lunchbox!

I couldn’t find a tree topper I wanted this year, so I stuck my Rizzo stuffed animal on top. He seems to like it up there.
Oh man! That’s so awesome!

Hello! I was wondering if you knew any history behind this particular song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI77YPb_MEM
It’s always been one of my favorite Muppet/Sesame Street songs but it’s not one of the more widely known ones and so I haven’t really heard much about it.
Ah! I love this Sesame Song!
According to the Muppet Wiki site, the song “The Frogs in the Glen” was written by Tony Geiss, who:
was a staff writer and songwriter for Sesame Street and related productions, often teamed with Judy Freudberg. Geiss conceptualized the Honkers (based on his own childhood habit of honking his nose)[1] and Abby Cadabby.[2]
So, it looks like there’s not much history behind this song. Tony wrote it in 1982 and they put it on Sesame. I don’t know much more information about it other than that. Were you wondering if it was an old folk song cause of the Scottish feel to it? It was probably inspired by music like that, but was written specifically for Kermit to sing on Sesame Street.
Hope that helps!
