We're Going to Go Back There Someday
Can’t not share this with you all today. While there are obviously many tender, sad moments in this video, there’s also just so much joy. It’s incredibly evident how much they all love Jim and how they want to honor him through song. It’s just such a beautiful sentiment.

Did you guys know that Kevin wasn’t the first person to perform Elmo? It was actually Richard Hunt. Here’s a Q&A after a screening of Being Elmo. For the most part it’s just Elmo hugging and high fiving a bunch of people, but if you skip to 3:00 minutes in, then you’ll see Elmo get asked the question: “What was it like working for Richard Hunt?” His response:
“It was TORTURE! …Elmo doesn’t like opera! Elmo doesn’t like tuna fish sandwiches and Schweppes Ginger Ale. Elmo doesn’t like any of those things! But for some reason, when he was working Elmo, Elmo was motivated to love those things.”
Richard loved opera and partying, and he often came in with a hangover.
Elmo and Cookie Monster do a part of “A Few Good Men”.
Elmo will be featured in the upcoming television special Michael Bublé: Home for the Holidays, which airs on NBC December 10. This speical was filmed back in October, and Michael stated in an interview, despite the recent troubles with Kevin Clash/Sesame, he never would consider cutting Elmo from the special:
“There was never a discussion to lose him. The truth is, Elmo didn’t do anything. He’s a three-year-old monster. He’s innocent, sweet, and funny - and very polite, too. The deal is that Elmo is featured on my special and that’s kind of how I really felt about it. It’s so warm and sweet. It really is a beautiful moment. I think people will enjoy it.”
