Were you at the Sesame Street At Forty panel a few years back? (There are a few amateur-filmed clips on YouTube last I checked.) All the Muppeteers there except Oz brought a puppet with them and got into character, which wound up involving some great banter between Clash/Elmo and the audience where Elmo would give an adorable answer to a question, the audience would “Awwww” loudly, and Elmo would get progressively more annoyed—”COME ON, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT OF ELMO?” Just fun brilliance.

I was not there. That was back in 2009, which was before I was riding the “Muppets are my life” train to Obsession-land. I’ve actually never been to an event/panel where Muppeteers/people involved with Muppets/Sesame have been present. Again, while living in Oregon is awesome, but it puts me at a disadvantage when attending awesome events.

Anyway, the only clip I could find online was this one, which I saw a while ago (though I’m rewatching it right now and, oh god, Telly in the plastic bag is the best). It’s a great interview panel, and everyone should watch it!

Elmo just popped up in the video. And he’s being adorable, as always.
